Spatial Analyses and Optimisation

Depending on the purpose of a study, a mix of methods consisting of optimisation procedures, multi-criteria evaluation procedures, GIS analyses, accessibility modelling and other special methods is used for the area and location analysis. User-specific suitability and weighting factors can be integrated into the evaluation algorithm to determine suitable areas and locations.

For the search of a new location with or without public traffic, the expected demand and traffic volume (e.g. of visitors or employees) will be simulated or the carrying capacity of the new facility can be examined. In order to find a new location for services of general interest, the equivalence of living conditions can be analysed using a regional supply and demand model.
